Work is anticipated to commence beginning of March for 2-3 weeks – see Aquascience method statement, below.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1)a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow for works in connection with bridge repairs as follows:

PLEASE NOTE — THE CLOSURE WILL ONLY BE APPLIED WHILE WORKS ARE TAKING PLACE.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Itchen Valley Footpath 48 ALTERNATIVEROUTE: Noalternativeroutesavailable

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 01/02/2021 until 01/07/2021 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.

Aquascience method statement
It is anticipated that work on the bridge will start around the beginning of March and take two to three weeks. I have had authorisation to put this information on the website from the Aquascience director in charge of this project.
